Born and raised in Barmera, Karen has witnessed the growth and changes in the Riverland and has seen it become a sought-after destination for many.
Being fully involved in the local community through sporting groups, Karen knows its people and is held in high regard throughout.
After school finished Karen moved to Adelaide for 5 years, working in the banking industry. Moving back home and continuing in the banking industry accumulating a total of 15 years’ experience and great skill sets Karen was eventually lured by the desire to assist people in the Riverland to manage their greatest asset, their home!
Karen started in Real Estate in 2003 as a Property Manager for LJ Hooker Berri and made a name for herself for being caring, having great empathy, and for getting the job done to completion to the satisfaction of all. In 2009 Karen had a six-year break to take up working at the Barmera Primary School where her son was schooled.
Karen has been back in the LJ Hooker Berri fold since 2015 to the absolute joy of Management.
What Karen enjoys most about Real Estate is ‘getting to help people’, ‘diversity in her role as Property Manager’ and ‘meeting new faces’.
With Karen’s attitude, background in banking and organisational experiences as President of local sporting clubs, you can be sure that Karen will be empathetic to your needs, diligent in every detail to ensure she will be well prepared to get the job done in a manner that boasts looking after people well, from the start of any transaction right through to the finish.
In her private life, Karen loves holidaying in Australia and Overseas, and renovating her family home with her husband and son as well as spending time with her family. Her sporting interests include supporting Barmera football and basketball clubs as well as Hawthorn in the AFL. She loves going to cheer on the Adelaide 36ers and watching the NBA. Karen is still on the committee for the Barmera Basketball Club and since 2015 has been President of the Junior Riverland Basketball Association.
